Week Starting 08 March 2010

AutumnThe cooler nights are continuing. The area that we draw most of our vegetables from is predicted to have a windy autumn. We will have to see how that affects the crops.

Red Kumara is now available.

Week Starting 01 March 2010

PeachesWe are still enjoying fairly good weather with high daytime temperature and relatively cool overnight temperatures. We are not expecting any produce to become unavailable this week, although the supply of strawberries remains tight. Red Kumara is a bit of a worry, with the tubers not swelling because of the lack of water. This leaves them twisted and virtually unpeelable. Things may improve in the next couple of weeks.

Week Starting 22 February 2010

Gourmet PotatoesMornings are starting to get darker and have the feel of autumn. Some of the summer fruit may finish earlier than expected. Recent rain in some areas have them a nice, healthy green. Supply should be good.
