Week Starting 26 July 2010

ColeslawThe weather of a few weeks ago is starting to catch up with us as some of the green leaf vegetables start to climb in price but not in size. The price of Australian Tomatoes has continued to ease and will bottom out shortly. New Zealand Tomatoes are still available. Their price has also eased as the demand for them falls away.

Week Starting 19 July 2010

BroccoliYellow Capsicum are still hard to get this week as the quality of imports is leading to their rejection. There is a very limited supply of local hothouse produce, which are extremely expensive. We recommend swithching to Orange Capsicum for the time being, until Yellows are available again.

Week Starting 12 July 2010

Brussels Sprouts

The cold weather over the last few days will be likely to affect the vegetables in the coming weeks. Produce size is reducing as prices climb. This is normal for this time of year. Yellow Capsicums may be in short supply as the Australian produce is rejected.
