Factory Vacancies

Factory Hand:
At present there are no vacancies but we are taking applications from people who are seeking factory work. This is done by filling in one of our Job Application Forms.

To fill in a Job Application Form, simply come down to our office during office hours. When you have completed the form, it will be reviewed and filed.

We do not send out Job Application Forms.

Casual or Permanent Work?
When Casual (on-call) Factory Hand positions become available, we select from the completed Job Application Forms that we have on file.

When Permanent Factory Hand positions become available, they are filled from current Casual Factory Hands.

What do we do in the factory?
At Rangitikei Foods Ltd, we process fresh vegetables into 'ready to cook' portions or salads for hospitals, rest homes, cafes, restaurants, hostels, bakeries and other similar food providers.

What experience do you need?
While experience in the Food Processing or a related industry is an advantage, prior experience is not essential. We are interested in any current Safe Food Handling or Hygiene certificates that you may have.

The factory work requires employees to stand for long periods and, at times, perform repetitive actions of the wrists, hands & fingers. Chemicals are used for cleaning. Employees are required to operate machinery.

Stores/Driving Vacancies

What do we do in the warehouse?
Rangitikei Foods Ltd runs a small fleet of delivery vehicles. The storemen are responsible for receiving produce, completing orders for customers and dispatching produce and product from the factory. They also are responsible for loading and unloading trucks and making local deliveries.

What experience do you need?
While stores experience is preferred, it is not essential. Storemen must have a clean Class 2 or Class 4 licence and have forklift driving experience. A current OSH approved Safe Forklift Operator's Certificate is an advantage, but we can arrange for a renewal if yours has expired.
